I see in fellow Republicans a sense of Fait Au Complait for '08!
They seem to think that we will not be able to stop the Hillary Machine and are ready to concede the WH for at least the next 4 years.
I submit that this is not true if Republicans will grab hold of true conservative issues, under someone like Fred Thompson, and stick to their principles.
If nothing else emerges as a flagship issue, the issue of Illegal Immigration and Amnesty thereto is something that the Republicans could show their mettle with and pull back the middle of the road Democrats and independents. Pin Hillary down on what she is going to do with Amnesty because it will make this current bill look conservative by comparison.
Make her commit. Once Independents see this they will vote Republican.
